Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Fund-It website and mobile application (the "Service") operated by Fund-It ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Fund-It. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Users located in the United States are subject to these Terms and applicable federal law.

2. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• You may not share your account with another person or use someone else's account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
• If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, email us immediately at funditsupport@gmail.com.

3. Voting Rules

Voting is the core function of Fund-It. The integrity of every vote matters. The following rules apply:

• Each registered user may cast one (1) vote per active voting period.
• Votes cannot be changed or withdrawn once submitted.
• Automated voting — including bots, scripts, browser extensions, or any programmatic method — is strictly prohibited.
• Creating multiple accounts for the purpose of casting additional votes is prohibited and will result in permanent account termination.

4. Charity Nominations

Any registered user may nominate a charity. By submitting a nomination, you represent that the organization is a real, verifiable, publicly registered non-profit. All nominations are subject to admin review and approval before appearing on the ballot.

Approved charities are subject to fairness rules enforced by Fund-It:

• A charity may win a maximum of two (2) voting periods per calendar year.
• A charity must wait at least six (6) months after winning before becoming eligible to appear on the ballot again.

Fund-It reserves the right to reject any nomination at its sole discretion, including but not limited to nominations for organizations that are ineligible, unverifiable, or inconsistent with the platform's mission. Submitting fraudulent nominations is a violation of these Terms.

5. Donations

Donations are processed through PayPal, the only official payment method on Fund-It. By making a donation, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• 100% of donation proceeds collected during a voting period are directed to the charity that wins that period. Fund-It does not retain any portion of donations.
• Donations are non-refundable. Once a PayPal transaction is completed, it cannot be reversed. Please ensure your donation amount is correct before confirming.
• Tax deductibility is not guaranteed. Fund-It is not a registered 501(c)(3) organization and does not provide tax receipts. Whether a donation is tax-deductible depends on the winning charity's status and your individual circumstances. Consult a qualified tax advisor if you require confirmation.
• Fund-It is not responsible for delays or errors in PayPal's payment processing systems.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Vote more than once per voting period, by any means
• Create or operate multiple accounts to gain additional voting influence
• Nominate fraudulent, ineligible, or non-existent organizations
• Use bots, scripts, or automation to interact with the Service
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform's systems
• Harass, impersonate, or misrepresent your identity to Fund-It or other users
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination, at Fund-It's sole discretion.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service — including the Fund-It name, logo, design, copy, and underlying code — is the property of Fund-It. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities. We are not responsible for the conduct, legitimacy, or activities of any charity listed on the platform beyond our own approval process. Fund-It does not guarantee that any specific amount will be donated to any charity, as donation totals depend on user participation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Fund-It shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of donations, or unauthorized account access.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
