Safety Guidelines
Last updated June 15, 2026
Fund-It runs on community trust. Every vote represents a real person choosing a cause they believe in, and every donation reflects that community's decision. These guidelines exist to protect that process — for every user, charity, and donor on the platform.
1. Voting Integrity
The weekly ballot is meaningful only if it reflects honest participation. The following behaviors undermine the community and are strictly prohibited:
- One account, one vote. Each user may vote once per weekly ballot. Registering duplicate accounts to cast additional votes is vote fraud and will result in permanent removal from the platform.
- No automation. Using bots, scripts, browser extensions, or any programmatic means to interact with the voting system is prohibited. We monitor for unusual voting patterns and act on anomalies.
- No coordinated manipulation. Organizing groups of fake or fraudulent accounts to artificially inflate votes for a specific charity violates both these guidelines and our Terms of Service.
2. Charity Nomination Standards
Nominating a charity is a meaningful act. Before submitting a nomination, please verify that the organization meets all of the following criteria:
- It is a real, verifiable, publicly registered non-profit organization
- It has a legitimate online presence you can link to
- It is not currently under investigation for fraud or misuse of funds
Do not nominate:
- Organizations you cannot independently verify as legitimate
- Personal crowdfunding pages (GoFundMe, etc.) or individual fundraisers
- For-profit businesses, political campaigns, or PACs
- Organizations that primarily serve to funnel money to specific individuals
Fraudulent nominations will be rejected during admin review. Repeated or deliberate submission of fraudulent nominations will result in account suspension.
3. Donation Safety
All donations on Fund-It are processed exclusively through PayPal — the only official payment method on the platform.
Fund-It will never:
- Ask you to send money via bank transfer, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or wire transfer
- Request payment in cryptocurrency or gift cards
- Contact you directly via email, text, or social media to solicit a donation
- Ask for your credit card number, bank account details, or payment credentials outside of the PayPal checkout flow
If you receive any message — whether by email, social media, or text — claiming to be from Fund-It and requesting any of the above, do not respond and do not send money. It is a scam. Report it to us immediately at funditsupport@gmail.com.
4. Reporting Concerns
If you witness or suspect any of the following, please contact us right away:
- Coordinated vote manipulation or suspicious voting patterns
- A fraudulent, misleading, or ineligible charity nomination
- A scam message impersonating Fund-It
- Any other activity that feels dishonest or unsafe
Email us at funditsupport@gmail.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. You can report anonymously if you prefer.
